 BLAST FREEZER
 V.CHILLER
We have standardized a range of condensers and chillers for refrigeration and air conditioning plants. Ammonia condensers and chillers are made from MS shells and tubes. Halocarbon condenser and chillers are made from MS/Copper shell or Cupro nickel tubes.
 VERTICAL CHILLER

These are basically Shell and Tube type heat exchangers. The shell is vertical and the tubes are provided to enable water to fall through the tube by gravity. The nozzles are provided to swirl the water and ensure proper wetting of the tube for improving efficiency.

Vertical gravity flow condensers and chillers have specific advantages in particular type of applications.

In case of condensers where frequent cleaning of tube is necessary due to the quality of water used, this type is preferred as the tubes can be cleaned during the operation of the plant. This is not possible in case of closed Shell and Tube condensers. It provides a large hold over capacity.

Vertical chillers are used where temperature of 1 to 2 degree centigrade is required. This is not possible in case of shell and tube type chillers. These can be used where the water used is dirty. The problem of bursting of tubes due to freezing is avoided here, since both the tube ends are open. This is also a major consideration in selection.

 OVER FEED SYSTEM (OFS)

In industrial refrigeration systems, in some applications like cold storages, food processing units, fisheries, etc. pumped refrigerant improves the efficiency of the plant and helps reduce the power consumption.

Liquid refrigerant is cooled in a low pressure receiver and pumped in the cooling coils for effective cooling. Circulation rates upto 8 times the evaporation rates is achieved.

Also:

  • Liquid ammonia pumping results in effectively wetting the surface to improve efficiency.
  • Ensures saturated gas returning to compressor.
  • Oil clogging in coils is avoided.
  • Uniform liquid pressure is ensured.
  • Permits easy hot gas defrosting.
  • Unit is completely prefabricated and tested.

 AIR COOLING UNIT

Properly selected cooling coils and air distribution play an important part in maintaining required temperatures and in effective product cooling/freezing.

The cooling coils are made from Steel tubes for ammonia refrigerating systems and Copper for Halocarbons. Spirally tension wound or plate type fins increase the heat transfer area. Effective bonding between tube and the fin material is ascertained.

Steel tubes with fins are protected from corrosion by galvanizing as a choice. The housing is modular to facilitate its combination with combination with the air handling unit.

Tubes are arranged in selected number of rows as per the application requirements. The tubes are connected in a header for low temperature application or by U bends for general application.

Air Handling Units are provided with centrifugal or axial or propeller fans which are selected to suit the pressure drop across the coils and air distribution requirements. The minimum power consumption is considered in view of reducing the heat load of the motors. Two speed fans are also offered depending upon the variable cooling requirements during product cooling/freezing and room temperature maintenance.

Floor or ceiling suspended mounting is offered.

These load limiting type fans are aerofoil design. The blades are made from cast aluminum. The adjustable pitched impeller provides many desired pitch angles. The number of impellers can be changed to suit particular fan characteristics. The hubs are machined Mild steel or Aluminum. The fans are statically and dynamically balanced.
